Everton head into 2026/27 looking to make Hill Dickinson Stadium a genuine fortress after a first full season that fell short of expectations — finishing 13th despite the move to their spectacular new home on the banks of the Mersey. With the "new stadium curse" that affects most clubs in their debut campaign now behind them, this season represents David Moyes' real chance to turn the venue into the intimidating home advantage supporters have long hoped for.

The season opens at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday 22 August, before an early trip to Bournemouth and a first Hill Dickinson visit from Manchester United. Everton face all three of this season's promoted clubs inside their opening ten fixtures, including a reunion with former boss Frank Lampard when his Coventry City side visit on 7 November. The standout dates on the calendar are the two Merseyside derbies — Everton host Liverpool on the weekend of 28 November, looking to avenge a cruel stoppage-time defeat from the corresponding fixture last season, before the return trip to Anfield on 30 January.

With a settled squad and a full pre-season under their belts at their new home, Moyes will be targeting a genuine push toward the European places this time around.
