Leeds United enter their second successive season back in the Premier League with genuine momentum, having secured survival with a 14th-place finish in 2025/26, comfortably clear of the relegation zone that many pundits had predicted for Daniel Farke's newly promoted side. The club has since opened contract talks over a new deal for Farke, whose current contract runs to summer 2027.

It's been a busy summer of rebuilding at Elland Road, with Leeds in talks for several new additions including Germany international Julian Brandt and the returning target Harry Wilson, as Farke looks to add further quality to a squad already built around Player of the Season Ethan Ampadu and top scorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The season kicks off with an away trip to Nottingham Forest on Saturday 22 August, part of what's rated a mid-table-difficulty opening five fixtures against Forest, Brentford, Brighton, Newcastle and Crystal Palace.

With survival now secured and a manager settling in for a third full season in charge, expectations at Elland Road are shifting from pure survival toward genuine top-half ambition.
