The Met marks Peter Gelb's 20th anniversary as General Manager with a 2026–27 season of five new productions, two Met premieres, and 12 revivals across 193 performances at Lincoln Center — its most compact season in over 60 years, with extended runs of Puccini's Tosca and La Bohème and Verdi's Aida forming its backbone. The season opens with a new Macbeth starring Lise Davidsen in her first staged Lady Macbeth alongside Quinn Kelsey, followed by a new La Fanciulla del West with Sondra Radvanovsky, plus a 60th-anniversary gala and a rare performance of Mahler's Eighth Symphony under Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin. The roster of stars spans Aigul Akhmetshina, Roberto Alagna, Piotr Beczała, Joyce DiDonato, Renée Fleming, Asmik Grigorian, Isabel Leonard, Sondra Radvanovsky and Sonya Yoncheva, among many others.
