The National Theatre of Prague's 2026/27 opera season spans its three historic stages — the golden-roofed National Theatre on the Vltava, the State Opera, and the Estates Theatre — with a repertoire ranging from Czech classics like Dvořák's fairy-tale operas to Verdi's Rigoletto and Otello, Bizet's Carmen, and Puccini's La Bohème. The season brings a mix of grand tragedy, comic opera and beloved fairy-tale works, reflecting the National Theatre's role as the birthplace and guardian of Czech operatic tradition since 1881.
