With its historic Salle Favart closed for modernisation, the Opéra Comique launches a bold nomadic season across Paris and beyond, staging opera in unexpected places rather than its usual home. Highlights include Raphaël Pichon and Sabine Devieilhe in Mozart's Zaïde ou le Chemin de lumière at the Grand Palais, a promenade staging of Bizet's Carmen winding through the streets of Paris's 4th arrondissement, and Grétry's Zémire et Azor directed by Michel Fau. In total the season brings 42 lyric performances across Paris and the Île-de-France plus 109 further dates touring the French regions, alongside a low-cost Foyer programme of recitals, masterclasses and family opera from January to June 2027.
