Cremona's historic opera house opens its 2026/27 season with Puccini's Turandot, staged in the centenary year of its premiere and reimagined by the under-35 creative collective Floret Umbra under conductor Alessandro D'Agostini. The programme continues with Verdi's Un Ballo in Maschera and journeys through a century of European musical theatre, closing with Britten's Death in Venice — spanning late Romanticism through 20th-century opera via Rossini and the Giovane Scuola verismo composers. Set inside one of Italy's most storied provincial theatres, this is a season built for those who want opera beyond the major houses, with the intimacy and craftsmanship of a smaller stage. Seats for Teatro Ponchielli's 2026/27 season are limited. Contact us to secure yours.
